Noel Pascual was born in San Miguel, Manila in 1961. He took up BFA Advertising at PWU in 1987. While there, he became close to mentors Ibarra de la Rosa, Raul Isidro, and Boy Rodriguez, who became his major influence. After college, he liked to frequent the Imelda gardens on the provincial boundary of Laguna and Quezon, to paint the 3,000 varieties of flowers in their natural environment.
He worked at Coronet Advertising, the marketing arm of Hallmark and Gift Gate. He participated in art festivals abroad, such as the Hudson Artists 35th Regional Annual in New Jersey, the Artists Festival in SoHo, the Filipino Arts and Crafts Fair in NY, and the Filipino Visual-Arts Festial in 1988. Known for his floral paintings, his first one-man exhibit of Flowers was in Heritage Art Center in 1989. He was elected to the AAP board in 1986. Won grand prize at the Poster Design Competition of the Safety Organization of the Philippines while in his junior year of college.
