Antonio Calma was born in Mexico, Pampanga in 1954. Starting at a young age, he became a helper and assistant of renowned Filipino Visual Artists including Rafael Maniago and Cesar Buenaventura, among others. His inborn talent and passion to paint, however, led him to be among the masters whose artworks have spread across the country and around the world. He is an impressionist painter who uses a mixed medium to create his masterpieces, painting landscapes, sceneries, plants and flowers, inanimate objects, still life and portraits using oil and acrylic paint on canvass or wood.
