Vincent Larosa began his career in 1957. He first worked at a billboard shop under fellow artist Diego Daylo, where he apprenticed for several years. He was part of the Dimasalang Artists, a group of painters who congregated in scenic venues in Manila and its surrounding suburbia to paint on-the-spot, hence, his most known pieces capture the feel of old Manila. In 1997, he was handpicked by former First Lady Ming Ramos to paint and capture the essence of the Pasig River in a major one man exhibit.
