TESORO, Pinky

Rowena “Pinky” Tesoro was born in Burgos, Pangasinan in 1973. She is a craftswoman and a ceramic artist trained at the Renaissance Ceramics in Bacoor, Cavite. She is an apprentice and protégé of the renowned Filipino artist Mariano Madarang in art conservation and restoration, and has worked on numerous institutional and private art collections on vintage and contemporary paintings. She is known for her abstract expressionist work, with a flair of heavy impasto in contrasting daubs of bright colors and bold geometric shapes integrated with fine sand for texture.
